ZT: two persons

Two persons happen to meet each other, know each other, and have some love story together. It happens every day everywhere. Married or not married. Rich or poor. Very rich or very poor. Well-known or a regular guy. In the city or even in a village.

The story of this novel is well-written and so good to read because it touches the heart of the readers – so called “middle-class” in the 30’s or early 40’s, with some achievement, as well as a lot of pressure in the job and daily life.

One (man or woman) has some assets (money), but not enough to do whatever one want.
One has some power and free time, but still a working class and a family man (or woman).
One has a lot of knowledge and desire about love, but not much time or energy to pursue as much as one want.

Can I say the love relationship can be very complicated if you want it be, and can be as simple as you define? Maybe one rule is that “there is no rule”. Just like:
Two regular persons argue and one person is killed, so the other person can go to jail. But the war kills thousands of soldiers, but no one go to the jail.

The real thing is that two lovers in the novel are living a life of their own. It is their choice and they have their own destiny. There is nothing wrong or right. Somebody said “it hurts” – but how many things just give you happiness without hurting you?

Time will cure everything. One just doesn’t regret too much when it gets too late to do something. ( Just wondering if Michael will be the terminator of this so called “love”)

The adults should be responsible for whatever they are doing --- just don’t hurt the children they have. The children really don’t have much choice when they are young!
